One World was opened in 1993 by three brothers and a friend, at the corner of Main and University Streets. West Main Street at this time was a blighted row of shuttered businesses. A combination of the brothers' entrepreneurial spirits and raw business ignorance was the spark of innovation for this establishment.
One World in its evolution, has supported diversity, music and the arts, and encouraged the gathering of members from all of Peoria's neighborhood communities.
One World supports many local fund raising efforts, along with collaboration with numerous charitable organizations, including Easter Seals and the American Cancer Society. (Read more here)
